At Red Oak Family Dentistry, we pride ourselves on offering top-notch, comprehensive dental care to the McKinney area. Often, our patients have multiple issues they want to treat at the same time and our highly qualified team creates an individualized treatment plan to deliver results as quickly as possible. For patients who need both orthodontic treatment and dental implants, Dr. Do and our team carefully consider our patient’s goals and their oral history to determine the order of treatment.

About Orthodontic Treatment

The comprehensive orthodontic treatment we provide at Red Oak Family Dental can straighten teeth, improve your bite, and help prevent future dental issues. We offer several different options including traditional braces, clear braces, Invisalign®, dental retainers, and six-month braces. Depending on your unique situation, dental needs, and budget, we’ll help you decide which option is best for you and your smile.

About Dental Implants

Dental implants are a great way to treat missing teeth and restore both the look and function of your natural smile. Whether our patients are uncomfortable wearing dentures or are looking for a more permanent solution, dental implants are a versatile, long-lasting option that involves surgically inserting a biocompatible titanium post into your jawbone and then attaching a natural-looking dental crown on top.

Treatment Involving Orthodontics & Implants

Because dental implants cannot be adjusted after placement, we usually use braces first and then place a dental implant. Using braces allows us to create the necessary space for an implant and ensure that the roots of the neighboring teeth are in the right place. However, in some cases we do place a dental implant first. For example, if we were using the dental implant as an anchor point or if the teeth surrounding the implant won’t need braces, we could place the implant first. Every case is different so our team will create a customized treatment plan for each of our patients.
