RED OAK FAMILY DENTISTRY
Safety Measures
Red Oak Family Dentistry is now open during normal business hours, and we will begin seeing patients for routine cleanings and exams starting June 1st. In order to keep everyone who enters our office safe and healthy, we have implemented a variety of preventive measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you have any questions about our updated procedures, our front office team is available via phone, email, and Facebook to offer clarification!
Mobile Check-In
When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you remain in your vehicle and text the phone number that sent your appointment reminder to let us know that you are here. If we need you to fill out any forms, we will send them to you virtually so you can fill them out inside your vehicle. Once our team is ready to see you, we will text you to come inside so you can walk straight to your treatment room, and patients can avoid gathering in our waiting room.
Protective Gear
Our team will be utilizing different forms of protective gear to protect themselves and patients. This will be done to prevent the spread of germs from our team to you and vice versa. Since the protective gear will be covering most of our faces, we have created name badges with pictures for each staff member to wear, so patients can still see our friendly smiles!
UV Lights
UV light technology has been proven to reduce and kill airborne viruses like the coronavirus. We have installed UV lights in each treatment room that can be turned on in between appointments to disinfect the room faster than if we were to clean each room by hand. Any viruses that are present where the UV light can reach will be destroyed, and the lights are turned off while patients and staff are in the treatment room.
HEPA Filtration
In addition to the UV lights, we have also added highly effective air filtration systems to each treatment room that continually clean the air throughout the day. When you walk into our practice, you may also notice a machine in our lobby that is continually disinfecting the ozone, which helps ensure that the air is clean when you walk in our front door as well.
Patient Procedures
There are a few things that we are asking our patients to do to help reduce the spread of germs. We will ask you to rinse your mouth out with hydrogen peroxide before we begin your treatment, which is a safe way to reduce germs before they become airborne. We may also ask that you use a dental fish or vacuum during treatment to prevent any airborne virus particles from reaching your hygienist or dentist.
We appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
We are looking forward to working with our patients again in an even cleaner, safer environment!
